Solo

For Solo function gigs I play tasteful background music with a jazz flavour.

Solo acoustic gigs include a wide range of acoustic styles including the Chet Atkins song book plus blues and slide, with a touch of Bert Jansch and my own stuff thrown in for good measure! These tend to be at blues and acoustic guitar clubs.

Gumbo: a spicy stew from Louisiana... or some rollicking, rolling, good time Jazz. Steeped in the sound of New Orleans and playing songs from the great American songbook - 1920s to the present day - Gumbo will pluck, strum, beat and blow away your blues.

BOOGIE LIGHTNIN' :A night of fine New Orleans piano blues, blistering boogie-woogie and bopping 50s rock'n'roll.

Over his 25 year musical career, Jamie Rowan has performed on radio and television and toured extensively in the UK and abroad, playing for thousands of audiences, in a multitude of venues.

An exciting and dynamic pianist and singer, Jamie plays from-the-heart, storming juke joint music steeped in the legend of Louisiana greats - Professor Longhair, Fats Domino and Jerry Lee Lewis.

His band currently features the handsome and talented Trundle slapping the doghouse bass, Brian Nevill, one of the most in-demand drummers on the scene today and the astonishing Rod Fogg whuppin' the electric guitar.
